How can the world sit by and watch another Hitler style genocide? Christian homes and businesses are marked as were Jewish homes during Hitler’s time. Most Christians have fled Mosul leaving behind their livelihoods, homes and all earthly possessions. The ones remaining in Mosul are the elderly and sick. Oh, please pray for them!
According to the Voice of the Martyr (VOM), “The cross on the Cathedral of Mar Afram in Mosul—was pulled down and replaced by loudspeakers to broadcast the Islamic call to prayer.
Already VOM is caring for 2,000 displaced Christians who have fled Mosul; it is likely that number will increase. We are also working with Christian converts in the region who risk their very lives to witness of the love of Jesus to Muslims—even radical and violent ones.”
Yesterday I received an e-mail forwarded to me from a friend who is friends with a man from Iraq. Her e-mail said:
"He is a Christian man who had moved to United States from Iraq because he was threatened with death. We have known him for several years, but only this year he told us his story."
Please read, click on links and pray for these poor people:
Just a few minutes ago I received the following text message on my phone from Sean Malone who leads Crisis Relief International (CRI). We then spoke briefly on the phone and I assured him that we would share this urgent prayer need with all of our contacts.
"We lost the city of Queragosh (Qaraqosh). It fell to ISIS, and they are beheading children systematically. This is the city we have been smuggling food to. ISIS has pushed back Peshmerga (Kurdish forces) and is within 10 minutes of where our CRI team is working. Thousands more fled into the city of Erbil last night. The UN evacuated its staff in Erbil. Our team is unmoved and will stay. Prayer cover needed!"

Please pray sincerely for the deliverance of the people of Northern Iraq from the terrible advancement of ISIS and its extreme Islamic goals for mass conversion or death for Christians across this region.
Send it to friends and Christians you may know. Send it to your prayer group. Send it to your pastor and phone him/her to pray on Sunday during the service - making a special time of prayer for this. We need to stand in the gap for our fellow Christians.
I am reminded of something Erwin Lutzer wrote about the Christians in Germany during World War 2; he said as they were practicing their Sunday hymns they could hear the trains going by with Jewish prisoners on their way to concentration camps and the choir director told the Christians to sing a bit louder in order to drown out the noise. May we not ignore this current day atrocity, but rather may we turn up our voices in prayer to Almighty God! Will you ask the Holy Spirit of God within you to remind you throughout your day to pray for your brothers and sisters suffering in Iraq? And please pray that our current administration wakes up and helps these precious souls. Also, remember to pray for the persecutors, many will see Jesus in those they are hurting and killing, and some will come to believe in Him because of the Truth they see.
